Alice R. Kamin, MS, CCC-SLP, President, and Director of Speech Potential Associates (SPA) has over 25 years experience as a certified, licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, specializing in Accent Modification and Cross-Cultural Communication training. She is committed to breaking down communication barriers that stem from differences in linguistic ability, culture, and communicative style. In working toward this goal, Ms. Kamin has addressed the difficulties facing highly educated, professionally and technically trained second language learners who, because of their accents and language differences, are misunderstood, misjudged and/or overlooked for promotion. Employees, their colleagues, and their employers are often frustrated by inaccurately conveyed information. SPA responds to the inherent challenges of today’s multicultural workforce by promoting optimum communication skills.
Ms. Kamin specializes in improving English pronunciation, intonation, grammar, and vocabulary in spoken and written English among corporate and other professionals with foreign and regional accents. Ms. Kamin offers results oriented training with practical application in the work environment. She emphasizes specific business communication needs, including situational language and idiomatic expressions, technical vocabulary, writing, social and intercultural training. SPA provides on-site individual and group assessments, training and consultation, as well as, workshops and seminars to meet the specific needs of clients. Multi-formatted programs are available on an annual or semi-annual contract basis.
